Wine vinegars are typically low in, or have no, calories, carbohydrates or sodium. Wine vinegar is produced from slow fermentation process in kegs of bay oak and larch wood to add subtle nuances of flavor to its bold quality

Health benefits

i) Lower cholesterol level

Due to its acetic acid content, wine vinegar is known to control and lower cholesterol level in our body. Besides, it also reduces the risk of heart disease and helps in lowering blood pressure.

ii) Enhance calcium absorption

Acetic acids in wine vinegar help to boost up the body’s ability to absorb minerals especially calcium. Taking dark green leafy vegetables with vinegar would be a good choice for optimal calcium mineral absorption.

How to store and select

Wine vinegar should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight. It can be used as salad dressing, marinate meats or flavoring agent to reduce the use of salt.
